On toward Villa de Leyva in the afternoon, checking into a three-star hotel for the night.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Overnight.<\/strong> Villa de Leyva after the day-trippers leave, which is when the town is at its best.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Day two.<\/strong> Breakfast at the hotel, then Villa de Leyva and the surrounding valley: the plaza, the colonial streets, and the sites around town. Most of this tour is on foot, across uneven ground inside the salt mine and cobblestones in Villa de Leyva.<\/li>\n<li>Pack a light overnight bag you can carry. You move between several places across the two days.<\/li>\n<li>Layers and sunscreen.
