Stop 1: Cascada La Chorrera & Cascada El Chiflón
Hiking segment – Morning
From Choachí, the hike begins with a steady ascent through forested paths leading to La Chorrera, Colombia’s second-highest stepped waterfall, with a dramatic 590-meter drop.
Along the same route, hikers also reach El Chiflón, a 50-meter waterfall that forms a natural pool. Depending on conditions, this stop allows for a short rest or a refreshing break before continuing uphill.
