Your day begins with private pickup in Bogotá and a direct drive south through the city’s outskirts toward the Tequendama region. The transition is immediate: urban density gives way to cliffs, mist, and open skies as the road approaches the canyon.
Stop 1: Salto del Tequendama Viewpoints
The Salto del Tequendama is a powerful waterfall plunging over 150 meters into a deep canyon, long considered sacred by the Muisca people. Depending on water flow and mist conditions, visitors can observe the falls from multiple viewpoints overlooking the gorge and surrounding cliffs.
Stop 2: Casa Museo Tequendama
Estimated visit time: 45–60 minutes
Located directly in front of the falls, also known as the former Hotel del Salto, adds cultural depth to the visit. Once a luxury hotel in the early 20th century, the building has been restored and transformed into a museum focused on environmental memory, biodiversity, and cultural heritage.
