Lawmakers have also spent 2026 advancing the so-called “Ley Sillas Seguras,” a bill that would extend the requirement to children up to 12 years old or 150 centimetres tall, with fines and vehicle immobilization attached for non-compliance.

Choosing the Right Seat for Your Child's Age
We stock seats across the general categories most families need:

Typically for babies from birth to around 12–15 months.
Forward-facing toddler seats
Generally for children from about 1 to 4 years old.
Booster seats
For older children who've outgrown a full harness but are still too small for a regular seat belt alone, usually up to around age 10–12 depending on height.
