Safe Transfers Colombia operates private transfers across Cartagena and Bolívar — from Rafael Núñez International Airport and the cruise terminal to the Walled City, Bocagrande, Zona Norte and Barú, and up the coast to Barranquilla and Santa Marta. Vetted drivers, real-time flight tracking, and one fixed price agreed before you book.
Before You Book Ground Transport in Cartagena
An Airport Inside the City
Rafael Núñez International Airport (CTG) sits in Crespo, roughly nine kilometers from the historic center — about 15 minutes to the Walled City and 20 to Bocagrande. It is one of the shortest airport runs in Colombia, but the arrivals hall is compact and busy, so our bilingual host meets you inside with a Safe Transfers sign, not at the curb.
Four Directions, Four Drive Times
Cartagena is not one destination. The historic center and Getsemaní sit beside the Bocagrande hotel strip; Zona Norte and Manzanillo run north toward Barranquilla; Barú and Playa Blanca are an hour south; and Mamonal is its own industrial zone. Same city, very different drives.
One Fixed Number
There is no meter and no surge. Tell us the route, the date and the passengers, and we send back a fixed quote in USD, confirmed before you book. That matters most on cruise days and in high season, when curbside pricing moves with demand and ours does not.
Where We Drive in Cartagena and Bolívar
Centro Histórico and Getsemaní
The Walled City and the boutique hotels. Streets are narrow, so pickups are coordinated by corner.
Bocagrande, Castillogrande and El Laguito
The high-rise hotel strip and the marina, minutes from the airport.
Zona Norte, Manzanillo and La Boquilla
The northern resort corridor and the road toward Barranquilla.
Barú and Playa Blanca
About an hour south across the Pasacaballos bridge, for beach days and island hotels.
Cruise terminal and industrial corridor
Meet and greet at the Sociedad Portuaria for arrivals, port days and departures.
Also serving — Turbaco, Arjona, Santa Rosa, Pasacaballos and Clemencia.
Choose Your Type of Transfer
Four ways to book a driver, all with the same vetted driver, insured vehicle and fixed number agreed up front.

Airport Transfers
Meet and greet inside arrivals with a 'Safe Transfers' sign, flight tracking included. If your flight is delayed, your pickup moves with it at no extra charge.

Hourly Chauffeur
A driver and vehicle on call for a block of hours. Built for days with several stops where booking each leg separately makes no sense.

Full-day Chauffeur
The same idea across a whole day: meetings, sightseeing and dinner, with the same driver and the same vehicle waiting between stops.

City-to-City Transfers
Door-to-door between cities and out to day-trip destinations. The full route list is further down this page.

“I just used this service for my arrival at the airport and it was flawless from beginning to end. The driver was waiting for us on time with a clear sign, helped with luggage and took us in a comfortable and clean vehicle.”
