Medellín has two. José María Córdova (MDE) takes every international flight and sits in Rionegro, 45–60 minutes east over the mountain. Olaya Herrera (EOH) is inside the city and handles domestic routes only.

Medellín shares the Aburrá Valley with Envigado, Sabaneta, Itagüí and Bello — one continuous urban area. But the airport, the Llanogrande business parks and most event venues sit in eastern Antioquia, so most transfers sit outside the city.
